The Mackay Amateur Radio Association Inc. was founded in 1972 by local amateur radio operators to better promote the hobby in the region. Today the club is quite active, with around 30 members.

Our Activities


Our annual social gathering, where we host the infamous Saturday Night Mega Auction, raffles, and also a fox hunt. Other activities are also held throughout the weekend.

Field Days & Club Events

We participate in regular events, including the John Moyle Memorial Field Day, the International Lighthouse Weekend, and Jamboree on the Air (JOTA).
